What is short-term contingent employment?

Short-term contingent employment is a special form of seasonal work. It is based on a fixed contingent – an annually limited number of work permits – agreed between Germany and certain partner countries. This allows seasonal workers to work legally in Germany for a limited period.

The employment is time-limited (up to 8 months) and is used mainly in agriculture, horticulture, hospitality and tourism. We take care of the placement, the work permit within the contingent and the entire organisation.

Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18
  • Citizenship of a partner country with a contingent agreement
